Grief is a natural response to losing someone you care about. This group offers a confidential, safe place for our patients to express their feelings, understand and navigate the grief process, connect with others, and learn ways to cope. This is a biweekly drop in group that is open to all California Facebook employees who are seeking confidential support and comforting connection as they face grief and loss in any form, whether be the loss of a person in their life, the loss of a beloved pet, the loss of an aspect of their health (e.g. vision, hearing, movement), the loss of autonomy or freedom, and the list goes on. You will be able to receive the opportunity to safely process, share and receive psychoeducation in this group. You are welcome to bring your questions and have a willingness of vulnerability, insight, and empathy with other members.

Grief and Loss Support Group (closed group)  (90 min):

(Please note, you must be in the state of California to participate due to facilitator’s state licensure): Grief is a natural response to losing someone you care about. This group offers a confidential, safe place for our patients to express their feelings, understand and navigate the grief process, connect with others, and learn ways to cope. This is a 4 week closed group group series and will accept new group members every first Wednesday of the month. You must complete a 15 minute phone screening appointment with our facilitator, Patricia Walsh, LMFT to determine if this is an appropriate group for you.

Group members must be willing to commit to at least 3 group meeting. In this group, you will find a safe and supportive environment to process difficult emotions, recognize similarities in the process of grieving and acquire useful information to assist you in your healing. There is additional trust created in knowing the members of your group and a relational connection created with one another to work on reflection of the losses that have affected your life and take actions that will lead you to complete unresolved emotions that may still be causing your pain.
